ONLINE SECURITY

At Busey Bank we take many measures to ensure that your online banking experience is not only easy to use, but more importantly secure. We pride ourselves on the security of your information and would like to share with you some important information about our security measures.

Busey Bank recognizes that customer information is confidential and personal. When you visit our web site you remain anonymous. Busey Bank does not collect identifying information about visitors to our site.

After you log-in, information is transferred using SSL, Secure Socket Layer, technology. SSL encrypts your personal information with 128-bit encryption before it leaves your computer, ensuring that your information is secure.

To verify that your Busey ebank session is secure look for the "https://" in your browser's website address, and the padlock icon in the lower right corner of your browser.

Busey Bank employs a system of firewalls to protect our internal banking system. Our system follows a strict set of standards and routinely monitors all activity that passes through our firewalls to ensure that our customers' data is safe and secure.

PROTECT YOUR ONLINE BANKING ACCOUNT

There are many precautions that we urge our customers to take so that they can maintain their account security. Please consider taking the following precautions.

MEMORIZE your User ID and Password. Make sure no one is watching you enter your User ID or Password information on the computer.

If you cannot remember this information then write it down and store it in a lock box or other secure location.

NEVER allow your Internet browser to store your information. Many browsers will ask you to save this information so you don't have to type it every time you use an online service. Although useful, storing personal in this manner is a big security risk.

Change your Password frequently by logging into Busey Bank and using the "Change Password" option located in the "User Options" drop-down menu.

Use a Password that is unique and doesn't contain personal information or is something that is easy to guess. Do not choose something that is too similar to your User ID either.

When you are finished conducting business using Busey ebank, use the "Log Off" button instead of simply closing your browser. This will ensure that your secure session has been closed.

Be aware, particularly when using public computers, that viruses and software exist which record keystroke information and could compromise your online security.
